Ejecting BladesEjecting blades provide a simple and reliable means of stud ejection. The ejected stud is retained in proper alignment for locking, yet completely clears both support and panel holes. For Size 3 Studs: There are two styles of Ejecting Blades for the Size 3 Studs. The 1224-159, 1224-159-1 and 1224-1031-1 Ejecting Blades require a retainer to hold the stud. The 1224-721 Ejecting Blade has a split in the end with the hole smaller than the stud end. This allows the Ejecting Blade to clip over the undercut of the stud and to act as the stud retainer. The 1224-159, 1224-159-1, 1224-1031, 1224-1031-1, and 1224-721 Ejecting Blades add .015 in. (0.38 mm) to the total pileup calculation. 1224-159-1 Ejecting Blade
Upon depletion of the existing stock of the 1224-159 and 1224-159-SS Ejecting Blade, they will be discontinued. At that time, please use the 1224-159-1 and 1224-159-1-SS Ejecting Blade. 1224-1031 Ejecting Blades
1224-721 Ejecting Blade
For Size 4, 5, 6, and 65 Studs: The 1224-200-x Ejecting Blade adds .020 in. (0.51 mm) to the total pileup calculation.
Note: When our existing supply of Cadmium plated parts is exhausted, DFCI Solutions, Inc will no longer offer Cadmium plating as an option. In place of the Cadmium plating, we recommend: Clear: Zinc Trivalent Clear .0003 thick. Trivalent Chromate Clear with Sealer (RoHS Compliant) Black: Zinc Trivalent Black .0003 thick. Trivalent Chromate Black Dye with Sealer (RoHS Compliant) Yellow: Zinc Trivalent Yellow .0003 thick, Trivalent Chromate Yellow Dye with Sealer The colored finishes offer no advantage over the clear other than the color, and they are more expensive. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
