Square Hole Receptacle

The 1219-QC4 receptacle features compact size and fast installation, while providing all the advantages of spiral-cam quarter-turn fastening. Easily snapped into the underside of a square hole, it is self-retaining and it remains rattle-free whether the fastener is opened or locked.

In many cases, 1219-QC4 can replace square hole caged nuts on existing equipment.

This is a highly durable fastener, with excellent strength for its small size.

Minimum distance between holes (edge to edge): .50 inches (12.70 mm)

Gap between panel and support face (caused by receptacle clip width, see drawing):.02 inches (.51 mm)

Recommended spring deflection: .020 to .045 in. (.51 to 1.14 mm)

Material: All parts are carbon steel, spring temper.

Finish: Zinc Trivalent Clear .0003 thick. Trivalent Chromate Clear with Sealer (RoHS Compliant)

Add panel thickness, plus receptacle "H" dimension (.452 in. (11.48 mm)). Select a stud with an "Grip Length" nearest to, but less than, that total. If the stud "Grip Length" dimension is not at least .025 in. (.64 mm) less than that total, add a 127P-4 plastic washer under the head to provide sufficient spring deflection.

Note:

  1. To provide correct locking tension, some studs are fitted with a .025 in. (.64 mm) thick plastic washer under the head. Part number 127P-4, which is offered for this use, differs from part number 127P-4B.
  2. The 1219-R4-SS Snap Ring is the only retainer which can fit inside the 1219-QC4 allowing flush contact between the panel and receptacle clips.

Note: When our existing supply of Cadmium plated parts is exhausted, DFCI Solutions, Inc will no longer offer Cadmium plating as an option.

In place of the Cadmium plating, we recommend:

Clear: Zinc Trivalent Clear .0003 thick. Trivalent Chromate Clear with Sealer (RoHS Compliant)

We recommend the Z3CT finish instead of the Z3YT finish. The Z3CT finish is much more cost effective and provides the same salt spray benefits as the Z3YT finish. (RoHS Compliant)
